SKIN CANCER PREVENTION
About: Welcome
Cleaning4SkinCancer started out during the pandemic when our founder Katherine (Lulu) Morse, an avid environmentalist and president of her school's environmental club learned that a close family member was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma - a rare and aggressive skin cancer. While spending more time walking and exercising outdoors, she noticed an uptick in the amount of litter on her local streets and beaches.
Katherine sought to combine her passion for a cleaner environment while raising awareness of all skin cancers but especially of Merkel Cell Carcinoma as it is on the rise in the United States.
Cleaning4SkinCancer is an environmental and Skin Cancer awareness group focused upon skin cancer prevention and environmental cleanliness. We are a group of dedicated individuals that believe in keeping our skin safe, regardless of weather conditions, and who are passionate about keeping our local beaches and streets litter-free.
Follow our Instagram @cleaning4skincancer and Twitter @cleaning4sc to hear about volunteer events, useful information about skin cancer, Merkel Cell Carcinoma, environmental sustainability and more. See you soon!
